Everything about your horse, in one place.
Horse paperwork lives in a folder in the tack room, a photo on your phone and someone else's memory. Hoofiness keeps it together — and works in the yard with no signal.

A horse's history is spread across six places and three people.
The passport in the yard office. The vaccination dates that decide whether you can compete. The farrier cycle in your head. What they were fed, and by whom. And how the lump on their hock has changed since Tuesday.
One record per horse
Health, medication, feed, weight, documents and photographs — on a record you can hand to a vet, a yard or a sharer.
One truth for everyone involved
Nobody double-doses a bute. Every entry says who did it and when, on everyone's phone.
Works with no signal
Written to your phone first. Log the evening feed in a barn with no bars and nothing is lost.
Not our first animal.
Hoofiness runs on the same engine as CorePaw, our pet care app — the same health records, the same dose log, the same permission rules enforced in the database, the same offline-first storage that a lost signal cannot touch.
What Hoofiness adds on top is everything that makes a horse a horse rather than a large dog: the passport and its food-chain declaration, vaccination courses and competition compliance, the farrier cycle, worming, rides, competitions, and a yard app that works from the other side of the same record.
15
areas of a horse's life
From the passport to the last ride.
2
apps, one record
The owner and the yard, never retyping each other.
Offline-first, not offline-tolerant. Every entry is written to your phone before anything else happens. There is no spinner in a barn with one bar.
Everything the vet asks, before they ask it.
Vaccinations, worming, dental, farrier, vet visits, physio, saddle fitting — each with the date, the product, the batch, the practitioner and your notes. Photograph a vaccination card or a vet letter and the records are read out of it for you to check before saving.
- A due strip at the top of the screen: overdue, then upcoming
- One-tap vet summary PDF — identity, weight and condition, allergies, history, current medications and the symptom diary with photos
- Built on the phone, works offline, and free for everyone
- Filter by record type, grouped under year headings
- Flu and tetanus as courses, with each interval checked
- Competition compliance as a plain answer: eligible or not, and the date it lapses
- Farrier, dentist, physio and saddle fitter, each on their own cycle
- Worming — egg counts, tapeworm tests and treatments in one timeline

So nobody double-doses a bute.
A course with a proper schedule — dose, frequency, start and end — and a dose log everyone with access can see. Each dose is ticked off as it is given and stamped "Given 07:15 · Sarah", live, on every phone.
- Ongoing or fixed courses, one to four times a day
- Reminders that fire whether the app is open or not, and survive a reboot
- Mark a dose as given straight from the notification
- Everyone with access sees the same log — you, a sharer, the yard
A trend a vet can read, not a number you remember.
Weigh tape and scale readings charted over time. Body condition on a guided picker. And a symptom diary that follows a lump, a splint, a mud fever patch or a hoof abscess over weeks — in dated photographs, with an optional measurement, so a vet can see how it has changed rather than take your word for it.
- Height, girth and any custom measurement you want to follow
- Change since the last reading, on every chart
- Resolved diary entries stay, dimmed, because the history is the point
- All of it lands on the vet summary

Run the yard from your phone.
A livery yard runs on a whiteboard, a feed chart and a lot of remembering. Hoofiness Livery keeps the routine, the horses and the billing in one place — so a new member of staff can walk in and know exactly who gets what.
- Every horse on the yard, searchable by horse, owner or field
- Stables and fields — who is where, who goes out with whom, and which pairs must not
- A care sheet per horse: feed, medication, allergies, handling notes and who to call
- A denied area shows as locked, never as empty — an empty allergy list is the most dangerous thing you can show someone handling a strange horse
Everyone who looks after them, with the access you chose.
A sharer, a loaner, a groom, a friend doing the Thursday turnout. They add to the record and never rewrite it. Stop sharing and their access ends immediately, without losing anything either of you recorded.
Choose what each person sees
View-only, or able to log the areas you tick — feed, rides, medication, whichever you decide.
A label that means something
They pick their own, like "Sharer" or "Yard staff", so the log reads the way the yard talks.
Enforced in the database
Not hidden in the app. A permission they do not have is a permission the server refuses.
Free for your horse. Paid to share them.
The whole record works free, offline, for one horse. Nothing you record is ever taken away.

Hoofiness does not tell you what your horse needs.
It records what you and the people who help you tell it, and it puts that in front of the person qualified to decide — your vet, your farrier, your dentist, your SQP. There is no diagnosis in this app and there never will be. What it can do is make sure that when someone qualified is standing in front of your horse, they are not working from memory.
Common questions
What is Hoofiness?
Hoofiness is a horse care app for owners, and a companion app called Hoofiness Livery for the yards that look after them. It keeps a horse's passport, health records, medications, weight and condition, symptom diary, feed, rides, documents and photographs in one place on your phone, and shares them with the sharers, grooms and family who handle them.
Is Hoofiness available yet?
Not quite. Both apps are coming to iPhone and Android and are not on the stores yet. Join the waitlist and we will email you the day they go live.
Does Hoofiness work offline?
Yes. Everything is written to your phone first and the app works with no connection at all. Sync sits on top for sharing and backup; it is not where the record lives. Yards have no signal, so this was never optional.
Can a sharer or groom use it for the same horse?
Yes, on a paid plan. You share a horse and choose exactly what each person sees — view-only, or able to log the areas you tick. They can add to the record and never rewrite it, and if you stop sharing, their access ends immediately without losing anything either of you recorded. Every rule is enforced in the database, not hidden in the app.
Can I give my vet a summary?
Yes. One tap builds a printable PDF — identity, weight and condition, allergies, health history, current medications and the symptom diary with its photographs. It is built on your phone, works offline, and is free for everyone.
How much does Hoofiness cost?
Free for one horse on one device, with the full record and nothing taken away. Hoofiness Cloud is £9.99 a month for unlimited horses, sharing, sync and cloud backup. Hoofiness Livery is priced by yard size in three tiers: £34.99 a month for up to 10 horses, £69.99 for up to 25, and £119.99 for up to 60, all including VAT and all with unlimited staff. Your owners use the free app at no cost to the yard.
Does Hoofiness give veterinary advice?
No, and it never will. Hoofiness records what you and the people who help you tell it. What a horse needs is a decision for your vet, farrier, dentist or SQP — the app exists so you can put better information in front of them.
Who makes Hoofiness?
Steony Ltd, a UK company, who also make CorePaw, a pet care app for dogs and cats. Hoofiness runs on the same engine, so the health records, medications, dose log, measurements, symptom diary, documents, sharing and vet PDF are built on code that is already in people's hands.
