It keeps a horse's passport, health records, medications and doses, reminders, farrier and dentist cycles, worming, rides, competitions, weight and body condition, symptom diary, feed, allergies, costs, documents and photographs in one place on your phone, and shares them with the sharers, grooms and family who handle them. Hoofiness Livery is a companion app for the yards that look after those horses.

Because a horse is not a large dog. A passport is a legal document with a food-chain declaration that changes what a vet may prescribe; a flu booster given a day late can cost you a competition entry; a farrier comes round on a cycle. None of that fits in a pet app as a species setting. Hoofiness shares CorePaw's engine — the records, the dose log, the permission rules, the offline-first storage — and adds everything above it that only matters for horses.

Yes, and this was never optional. Every entry is written to your phone first and the whole app works in aeroplane mode. Sync copies it out when there is a connection, for the people you share with and for backup — it is not where your records live.

Yes. Reminders are scheduled on the device, fire whether the app is open or not, and survive a reboot. You can mark a dose as given straight from the notification without opening anything. They still depend on your phone's notification and battery settings, so treat them as a good prompt rather than a guarantee.

Yes, on a paid plan. You share the horse and choose exactly what each person sees, and which areas they may log. They add to the record and can never rewrite it — a sharer logs the feed and the ride; they cannot erase what you wrote. Stop sharing and their access ends immediately, without losing anything either of you recorded. Every rule is enforced in the database, not hidden in the app.

A printable PDF built on your phone in one tap: identity, microchip, weight and body condition with the trend, allergies, the full health history, current medications, and the symptom diary with its dated photographs embedded. It works offline and it is free on every plan, including the free one.

That is what the dose log is for. Each dose is ticked off as it is given and stamped with who gave it and when — "Given 07:15 · Sarah" — and everyone with access sees the same log, live. It exists specifically so nobody double-doses a bute.

It gives a yard every horse on it in one place: which stable and field each is in, the livery type per horse, a care sheet showing feed, medication, allergies, handling notes and emergency contacts to whoever is on the yard, the daily routine ticked off and attributed, staff and rotas, bookings, yard-wide compliance, and invoicing generated from the bookings.

No. The yard app works on its own. It is better when owners have Hoofiness too, because one backend runs both: what your staff record appears on the owner's horse record, and what the owner shares appears on your care sheet.

A locked area, explicitly. Never an empty one. An empty allergy list is the most dangerous thing an app can show someone handling a strange horse, so an unshared area says it is unshared.

By how many horses the yard holds, in three fixed tiers: Starter covers up to 10 horses at £34.99 a month, Yard covers up to 25 at £69.99, and Estate covers up to 60 at £119.99. All prices include VAT and every tier has unlimited staff. There is no per-horse charge, so within your tier taking on a new livery does not change the bill. Above 60 horses, get in touch.

No. Hoofiness is free for an owner with one horse, and that is enough for them to see their own horse's record alongside what your yard logs. An owner who wants more than one horse, or who wants to share with a sharer or family, can upgrade to Hoofiness Cloud themselves. It is their choice and their bill, never the yard's.

No. Invoices carry your yard's own payment details and your customers pay you directly. Hoofiness never sits between a yard and its money.

Free for one horse on one device, with the full record and the vet summary PDF, forever. Hoofiness Cloud is £9.99 a month for unlimited horses, sharing, sync and cloud backup. Hoofiness Livery is for yards and starts at £34.99 a month for up to 10 horses, in three tiers by yard size.

Nothing is deleted. You keep every record and you keep reading it. What lapses is the paid capability — sharing, sync and cloud storage — not your history. A memorial profile stays free regardless.

There will be one, and we will confirm the length before anyone is asked to pay. Waitlist members hear it first.

No, and it never will be. Hoofiness records what you and the people helping you tell it. What a horse needs is a decision for your vet, farrier, dentist or SQP. The app exists so that when someone qualified is standing in front of your horse, they are not working from memory.

On your phone first, always. If you sign in on a paid plan it also syncs to our hosting so the people you share with can see it, protected by row-level security so only they can read it. We never sell your data and we do not use it for advertising. See the Privacy Policy for the detail.

Their profile becomes a quiet keepsake — the years shared, a timeline of photographs, and a printable memory book. Every reminder for them stops immediately, nothing is ever deleted, and it stays free even if a subscription lapses.
